Tết Nguyên Đán, commonly known as Tet, is the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, a major cultural and religious festival marking the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year based on the lunisolar calendar. It's the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam, a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and celebrating new beginnings. Tet celebrations typically last for several days, often spanning from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar (late January or early February) to at least the third day.

🧧 On January 18th, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized a meaningful extracurricular exchange event with the theme "Understanding and Experiencing Tet Nguyen Dan" (Lunar New Year). This activity offered a wonderful opportunity for Indian and Vietnamese students to explore the unique traditional cultural values of Tet—an important holiday in Vietnamese life.

💰 Fun Activities
🎉 In a lively and friendly atmosphere, students joined engaging activities such as decorating red envelopes (lì xì), making tò he (a traditional toy), playing traditional games like “chuyền” and “ô ăn quan,” solving Vietnamese-language riddles, and tasting signature Tet dishes. Beyond the fun, it was also a space for sharing customs and cultural traditions around Tet from each participant’s homeland, helping to deepen understanding and strengthen cultural connections between the two communities.

🌟 Final Thoughts
The event not only brought joy and excitement but also served to foster friendship and build a cultural bridge between international and Vietnamese students. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it such a meaningful gathering!
